Caroline County does not run a separate official sheriff mugshot gallery in the sources reviewed. The sheriff's court page points inmate information to PRJ because the local jail closed in 1998. Court records usually show charge and case information rather than booking photos. ICE, BOP, and U.S. Marshals public locators also should not be treated as mugshot galleries.

Are Caroline County Mugshots Public
Virginia public access starts with FOIA, but booking photos sit inside law-enforcement and criminal-record rules. Virginia FOIA provides access to public records unless an exemption applies. Public And Not Public
The public side is narrow. A person may see current roster fields, a profile image slot, booking date, arresting agency, and charge text when PRJ publishes them. A person may also request records from PRJ or the originating law-enforcement agency under Virginia FOIA. The nonpublic side can include juvenile records, medical information, security details, active investigative information, restricted criminal-history data, and records affected by sealing or expungement orders.

Request Caroline County Photos
